Worming
Your kitten has been wormed regularly
since the age of 2 weeks. This needs to be continued to remain free from
internal parasites and therefore healthy.
Most of the intestinal worm’s life cycle
is spent in the tissues of the kitten /cat. It is only once the worms mature
into the adult form that it can be eliminated from the intestines of the cat by
your cat being wormed. Even if you never let your kitten /cat outside your cat
will still have internal parasites which will weaken him / her and can also be
passed onto humans. If your cat is allowed outside, and kills and eats vermin
such as mice, they can have an even greater parasite burden.
To know the correct dosage to give, it is
best to consult your vet. They will be able to prescribe the correct dose,
which is dependent on weight, for your individual kitten.
